Introduction
The Institute of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences was established in 1998, which was originally a division of Environmental Health and Medicine in the Institute of Public Health. The PhD program was later initiated in 2003.
In its prior years, the Institute of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences was one of the subordinate organizations of the School of Medicine, while the Department of Environmental and Occupational Medicine was a part of the Faculty of Medicine. In February 2006, these two units were consolidated to strengthen the faculty members.
Following this, in 2007, the Ministry of Education authorized and renamed the institution as Institute of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (IEOHS).
